Dear Members,

As the summer nears to a close and we pack up our summer retreats and golf clubs, all is not lost. Our board has been busy arranging events to bring our members together for valuable industry insights and a chance to network with fellow colleagues.

Back in the spring at our London event, we listened to your suggestions of what you would like to see at your professional development/networking events. As a result, we present you with our first fall event entitled “Connecting the Dots”, which will be held in Ottawa on Friday, September 12 at The Lord Elgin Hotel at 12:30 and includes dinner

Following this, our much awaited AGM will be held on Tuesday November 18, 2014 at the Hilton (Warden Ave. & Hwy 7)

Many changes have occurred at CPIO this summer. Our Board has been hard at work creating a new website to provide our members with a more user friendly and interactive site.

The CPIO Board would also like to announce that Silvina Stover will no longer administer the CPIO site. We would like to thank Silvina for all her efforts and contributions. I would also like to introduce our new administrator, Penny Hill, who has many years of experience including the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners – Toronto Chapter, Conference Board of Canada, Princess Margaret Hospital, Bank of Montreal to name a few. Penny will continue working with the ACFE as administrator and has recently been elected Director. She looks forward to working and communicating with all our members and directors.
