10 Mar PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE

Dear Members,

As we enter March – hopefully we can start to see degrees in the plus range after a rather consistent minus double digit winter. In anticipation of the warmer weather, we thought Niagara Falls would be a great place to hold the next Professional Development Day – where participants can bring their families and make a weekend with all that Niagara Falls and the Great Wolf Lodge has to offer – waterslides and all. So please mark your calendars – Friday April 17th for a day of learning and networking and then enjoying a weekend with loved ones. We are working on a great agenda and will have it to our members shortly and also post it on our website. Unfortunately, the PDD cost exceeds our member registration rate. Having said this, we feel that the caliber and venue is absolutely worth it. As a result of these costs, we hope that providing a discounted rate of $99 will make it more affordable and get everyone out to enjoy and learn.

At the AGM and PDD day held in November last year,(which were some of our most successful events), we noted that the feedback we received was that we need more days like this. Everyone overwhelmingly enjoyed the speakers, Lisa Kool, exhibitors, and the venue. The next AGM will be in November and as usual we will post the date soon.

In addition, we have reached out to our American counterparts and have invited them to join us in Niagara Falls. In fact, we are hoping that they will be able to speak about current trends in the USA and how those trends, may affect us here in Ontario. We continue to try and arrange this for you.

Your Board of Directors has been implementing our Strategic Plan which involves providing learning opportunities as well as actively promoting YOUR services (Agency and individual PI services) to all potential clients. We want our members to be known as the most professional and effective investigators and PI firms.

In closing, we will keep you posted on our efforts to keep CPIO moving forward. Look forward to seeing everyone in Niagara!

Sincerely,
Brian Sartorelli
