    A full-time Professor at Fanshawe College is responsible for providing academic leadership and for developing an effective learning environment for students. The successful candidate will teach courses in the Protection, Security and Investigation Program in the School of Public Safety.

    GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

     Combination of excellent leadership and teaching skills with a strong commitment to academic excellence

    and student success

     Excellent communicator

     Strong interpersonal skills

     Ability to relate effectively to a wide variety of learners from different backgrounds

     Strong computer skills and familiarity with various technologies

     Related industry work experience

     Previous post-secondary teaching experience (hybrid and/or online delivery) and knowledge of curriculum

    design and student evaluations are assets

    SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS

     Post-secondary 4-year degree in a relevant field of study

     Master’s degree in a related field of study and/or B.Ed. or M.Ed. is an asset

     Minimum of 5 years’ recent (within the last two years) experience in the field of law enforcement, such as corrections, customs, municipal by-law, MTO Enforcement, and/or security practices

     An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to

    applicants meeting the education requirements

     Valid license to work as a security guard and/or private investigator in Ontario is an asset

     An ability to demonstrate an understanding of the challenges of diverse student groups is an asset Approximate Start Date: August 12, 2024

    Salary: Determination of starting salaries is based on relevant teaching/occupational experience and relevant formal qualifications, supported with original transcripts from granting institutions. The salary scale is $73,079 to $126,689 along with a comprehensive benefit package.

    Partial load or full-time academic staff presently employed with the College will be given first consideration in accordance with the Academic Collective Agreement.

    While transcripts are not required for the interview, they are mandatory prior to any offer of employment.

    Private Investigator – Undercover

    Experienced Undercover Private Investigators required for a contractual (minimum one year) full-time assignment in the Greater Toronto Area to identify harassment in the workplace, poor supervisory practices, favouritism, drug and alcohol abuse, theft and fraud. The Private Investigator will possess (mandatory) a valid Ontario Private Investigator’s License and Driver’s License, be fluent in English, have exceptional communication skills, be able to work independently, possess (optional) additional language skills and be self-motivated & physically fit. Daily reporting (Microsoft Office) and verbal updating mandatory. This is not a Loss Prevention or Security Guard position. Only those licensed Private Investigators meeting the posted requirements will be considered and contacted. A full performance and financial review will be held upon completion of the contract, projecting a possible extension of the assignment or inclusion in additional highly sensitive investigation projects.

    Salary: $52,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
